the JB hasn't been affected by the update. Post added at 06:07 AM - Previous post was at 06:01 AM. I'm hopeful that getting the mobile developers on board might ease some of the Windows RT development pain. TBH I think that the JB release should wait until Windows 10 Mobile is released. I continue to tinker code when I can, but there are a lot of very large code bases that need serious attention before they'll work on Windows RT. I'd like to think the JB will re-ignite that effort again, but I'm not sure anymore. I'm not seeing a whole lot of developers trying to port software to Windows RT on here.

That's why I would like to know if you're thinking to release your exploit now !?
#HOW TO GET CHROME ON SURFACE RT 8.1 UPDATE#
Now than Microsoft released his last (ridiculous) update for Surface RT, I think we can officialy consider that surface RT is die. We need you - JB Hello, netham 45, GoodDayToDie, Myriachan. If it won't run under IKVM or isn't in the list of desktop applications for RT on this forum, nope, not gonna run. I just spent ages writing an incredibly lengthy post explaining why certain programs will or will not run on RT and other options only to get a gateway error when posting and losing all that I typed.
#HOW TO GET CHROME ON SURFACE RT 8.1 INSTALL#
You're more or less safe to assume that any desktop program you find will /NOT/ install on Windows RT. How limited is Windows RT to install any kind of 32bits based software? You could try running your program through IKVM on "normal" Windows to test its compatibility (which isn't perfect, though most pure-Java apps will run). NET-based Java runtime) works on RT if you "jailbreak" the OS, but there's no publicly available jailbreak for 8.1 yet. It seems that Java does not run in Windows 8 RT, is there some way around? Windows 8 RT + Java Hello I am planning to buy an Asus device with Windows 8.1 RT, the problem is that I want to run an application which use Java.
